Refund & Return Policy

Clear rules for cancellations and refunds on our live online courses (digital education services).

1. Overview

Learn Skills Academy sells live online training (digital / educational services), not physical products. This Refund & Return Policy explains when refunds apply. By purchasing a course, you agree to this policy together with our Terms & Conditions and Service Delivery Policy.

2. No Physical Returns

Because our products are live Zoom classes and digital learning materials, there is no physical "return" of goods. Refunds, where approved, are processed as monetary refunds to the original payment method (or an agreed alternative).

3. Full Refund Eligibility

You may request a full refund if:

  • You cancel in writing at least 48 hours before the first live session of your enrolled batch, and no class materials / Zoom links have been substantially used; or
  • We cancel the batch and cannot offer a suitable alternative date or transfer; or
  • Duplicate payment was charged due to a technical error (we will refund the duplicate).

4. Partial Refund / Credit

  • If you withdraw after the first live session has started but within the first 7 days of the batch, and have attended no more than 2 sessions, we may offer a partial refund or course credit at our discretion (typically up to 50% after deduction of processing fees).
  • Course credit (transfer to another upcoming batch of equal or lesser value) may be offered instead of cash refund where appropriate.

5. Non-Refundable Situations

  • Refund requests made after 7 days from the batch start date
  • Failure to attend classes due to personal schedule, device, or internet issues
  • Dissatisfaction after majority of the course has been delivered
  • Violation of our Terms (e.g. sharing materials, misconduct)
  • Promotional / heavily discounted seats marked as non-refundable at checkout
  • Free demo classes (no payment collected)

6. How to Request a Refund

  1. Email info@learnskills.academy or WhatsApp 0333 5848338 with:
    • Full name and registered email / phone
    • Course name and payment date / transaction ID
    • Reason for refund request
  2. Our team will review and respond within 3–5 business days.
  3. Approved refunds are processed within 7–14 business days (bank / gateway timelines may vary).

7. Payment Gateway Fees

Where a payment gateway (e.g. PayFast) deducts non-recoverable processing fees, those fees may be subtracted from the refundable amount, unless the refund is due to our error or cancellation.

8. Chargebacks

Please contact us before filing a chargeback with your bank. Unjustified chargebacks may result in suspension of enrollment access. We will provide transaction and service records to the payment provider as needed.
